K Pads: toe puffs, counters and reinforcements
K Pads is the Kyotex unit that develops reinforcement supports for footwear and leather goods: toe puffs, leather fiber counters, microfibers and more.
What K Pads reinforcements are
They are structural support inserts for footwear components and leather goods that need to hold their shape over time. In a shoe, for example, the toe puff shapes the toe box and the counter supports the heel.
Solvent-free materials
K Pads reinforcements use natural and recycled materials treated with Kyotex hot melt or cold adhesives. According to Kyotex, that treatment ensures they contain no solvents and no volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Types of reinforcement
- Toe puffs.
- Leather fiber counters.
- Microfibers.
The range includes other supports too — ask us about the one you need.
How they fit the rest of the system
Because they come pre-treated with Kyotex adhesives, K Pads reinforcements slot into a solvent-free process alongside K Thermo and K System.
